  This bank is horrible and does not know the first thing about customer service. I had a business credit card account at Valley Community Bank for more than 10 years. First State Bank took over VCB and I found out about it in the newspaper. No letter, nothing. They did, however, contact me to let me know that they couldn't process one of my payments (made out to VCB) even though the CC statement said to make it out to VCB. After that fiasco I spoke to the business loan manager who assured me that no changes had been made and that my account was in good standing. That was six months ago. Yesterday I got a form in the mail (not even a letter - just a form) that said they canceled my business CC account. It didn't even say who to call for more information. Before you do business here please note that aside from horrible customer service - they are in the practice of cancelling small business credit accounts without warning or notice. They don't even care enough to call or send a cover letter with the form explaining what's going on. I can only guess it's that they want me to buy more products or services - because my credit is fabulous and I've never had a problem with the account. Except here's the problem with that tactic - why would I give my money to an organization that can't be bothered to make a phone call or write a short form letter? Even BoA sends emails! Small business owners - avoid this bank.
